BAPS Charities Hosts Community Walk in Support of
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
“Find the passion within yourself. When we are out there
walking, we realized we couldn't have made it this far without
Children's and without the people here at the Mandir. We will
never forget what Children's did for us." shared Jim Taylor, who
delivered the opening speech following a traditional prayer for
world peace at the 2014 BAPS Charities Walk in Lilburn, Georgia.

The 2014 BAPS Charities Walk in Lilburn, Georgia supported
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Children's Healthcare of
Atlanta is a non-profit that specializes in pediatric care and
the walk will help to support their mission in helping young
children. This year’s 5K walk brought together over 550
participants, from young children to the elderly, on Saturday,
April 26, 2014.
Mital Patel, a BAPS Charities volunteer, said, “Each year it is
an amazing opportunity to come together like this and
participate in the BAPS Charities Walk. It is so inspiring to
see young kids walking and others who are over 80 join the walk.
We have all come together to support something that has a
tremendous and positive impact on our community."

"Getting involved and doing something for Children's was an
amazing experience," shared Manasi Patel, "I would love to do it
again with my daughter. It was amazing to see so many people get
involved."
BAPS Charities undertakes many such charitable events throughout
the year to support local communities. BAPS Charities’ projects
are inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s motto, “in the joy of
others, lies our own”. Through his motto, Pramukh Swami Maharaj
selflessly serves society through a variety of social projects
and inspires thousands of others to do the same. In addition to
annual walkathons across many centers in North America, BAPS
Charities hosts a variety of programs to support healthy living,
environmental awareness and education initiatives. Through its
many programs, BAPS supports individuals, families and
communities. For more information about BAPS Charities and its
