2012 Annual Competition
Award Ceremony
GlobalArt USA held it’s 2012 Annual Competition Award
Ceremony on Sunday, May 19th at Brindavan Banquet Hall in
Alpharetta, GA. The event started off promptly at 4PM with
GlobalArt Director Sudha Gopalakrishnan addressing the crowd of
proud parents. After their hard work all year and in the
competition, the students were excited and looking forward to
seeing if they won. The competition was held earlier during the
week in each of the three GlobalArt locations. This year’s
theme, “Healthy Living”, was chosen by the GlobalArt team to
help spark creative thought about what all encompasses a healthy
lifestyle.

Students were split into three groups- A, B, and C
depending on their artistic level. Group A focuses on coloring,
blending, and shading techniques. Group B focuses on
intermediate coloring, blending, and shading as well as basic
drawing techniques. Group C requires students to fully compose
their artwork, requiring advanced coloring techniques as well as
full-fledged drawing. The Ceremony continued with the awards.
Group A: Akilan Ganesan- Champion
Risha Kasala -2nd place and
Zoya Bharwani -3rd place.
Honorable Mentions in Group A included Tanvi Pamulapati, Aalish
Bhudani, Srilaasya Rambabu, Aditi Srikant, and Amrutha Dhulpudi.
Group B: Achintya Inumarty -Champion
Urja Atre -2nd place and
Sruthi Yerraguntla-3rd place.
Honorable Mentions in Group B included Meghana Ramineni, Aditya
Palliyil, Ananya Theneti, Srijyothi Gogulamudi, and Nooree
Husnani.
Group C: Muskan Raghuwanshi -Champion.
Maitri Patel -2nd place and
Rasika Venkateswaran -3rd place.
Honorable Mentions in Group C included Julianne Austin, Mayank
Raghuwanshi, Pooja Manekar, and Aparna Arul.
The Award Ceremony recognized our student Anoushka Misra for
winning the State Level in the Doodle4Google competition.
Around 25 students who achieved in art outside of GlobalArt in
competitions such as the PTSA Reflections contest, Balvihar,
Fulton Soil conservation, Forsyth public works and other
community events were also recognized.
The Ceremony wrapped up promptly at 6PM and refreshments from
Brindavan were served. Congratulations to all our students!
