Ms. Kathleen Hughes, a Preventative Health Coach, who
participated for the first time said that she was very impressed
with the big turnout. She represents a wholefood nutrition
company based in Memphis, Tennessee, which makes Juice plus
capsules and gummies. “We encapsulate fruits, vegetables and
berriesthat have been thoroughly researched, showing that
Juiceplus is bioavailable, improves and enhances the immune
system, it reduces DNA damage, and raises antioxidant levels. It
is not a substitute for fresh fruits and vegetables but a
nutritional bridge. I truly feel happy to be present here
today.”
Mrs.Madhavi Kassam, of Georgia Classical Homeopathy, is a
regular participant in SAI Health Fairs. She earned her Bachelor
of Homeopathy Medicine and Surgery degree in Hyderabad, India,
and has been practicing in Atlanta for the past ten years.
“Harmony in body and mind ensures good health. Imbalance in this
harmony causes health problems. At SAI Health Fairs, more and
more people are coming for consultations because Homeopathy is
holistic and the remedies prepared from vegetables, minerals,
chemicals, animal products and nosodes are without
sideeffects.Homeopathy looks for signs and symptoms and offers
single remedy for all problems instead of many drugs with
multiple sideeffects. Anyone interested can find more
information on my website www.homoeo.com “she said.
Janssen Phrmaceuticals arranged for the complimentary
continental breakfast, whereas Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Co.
provided delicious lunch for all the participants, both
breakfast and lunch was catered by Tropical Cafe Smoothies. SAI
Health Fair publicity and coverage was provided by Khabar
magazine; India Abroad, Little India, nripulse.com,
Atlantadunia.com. In addition, Presidents of several local
Associations also helped to notify their members about the
Health Fair. Digital video and Photography services were
provided by K.C.Patel and Mahadev Desai.
Dr. Sujatha Reddy thanked Hindu Temple President Dr. Ravi Sarma
and the Board for providing the accommodation to stage the
Health Fair and also Ramada Inn and Forest Pharmaceuticals for
providing accommodation and dinner respectively for out-of-town
nurses She further thanked Janssen Pharmaceuticals, supporting
sponsors; the team of physicians, nurses, students and dedicated
volunteers who together helped make the Health Fair a big
success. The mission of the SAI Health Fairs is to create an
awareness of the importance of preventive health care among the
public-detection, prevention and cure. “Cure the patient today
and protect the community tomorrow. Too often we hear of illness
that could have been prevented if it had been detected earlier”
is the guiding motto.
SAI Health Fairs are shining beacons of outreach of medical
services and vehicles of social service and welfare for the
disabled, aged, and needy and neglected in the society. Inspired
by Dr.Reddy’s compassion, dedication and commitment, many
selfless physicians, Health Care professionals, volunteers,
Community and Faith-based organizations have joined their hands
in successfully staging these Health Fairs. Restless and driven,
self-effacing Dr. Reddy is a living proof that even one person
can make a difference. She has perceived the acute need for such
Health Fairs, in view of the rising numbers of people without
health insurance and is striving relentlessly to contribute all
she can in meeting the immense need. Another Sai Health fair is
already being planned for either in August or September, 2008.
