Every child deserves education. At Asha for Education, it is our belief that education is the antidote to the vicious cycle of poverty and inequity. Our mission is to provide education to children from families that struggle to make ends meet. The Atlanta chapter, run by students of Georgia Tech and Emory, supports five projects in India that serve this mission of giving ‘Asha’ (meaning: ‘Hope’) to those who need and deserve it. We volunteer our time to raise funds and regularly visit the project sites to see the transformation firsthand. We have fostered an incredible community that is grateful to be able to give back to society, especially to those who need it the most.
