Classical Sufiana Musical Evening in
Atlanta with Dhananjay Kaul of India
A Charity Dinner/Music Concert by accomplished classical, sufi vocalist
Dhananjay Kaul from India (accompanied by Atlanta's Bhavesh Patel on Tabla)
is being organized by non-profit Kashmir Overseas Association (KOA) and Shiv
Mandir of Atlanta at the Impact Hall, Global Mall, Norcross on July 16,
Sunday from 6p-10p.
Dhananjay Kaul, recipient of numerous J&K State and National awards for
music, is trained in Patiala Shyam Chaurasi style. His vocal performances
are mosaics of subtlety, appreciated by any listener who trails his voice
through intricate patterns of not just main notes in the Raga (Swaras) but
also the sub-notes between these notes (Shrutis). This florid vocalism marks
Dhananjay Kaul as one of the most unique and talented artists of the Indian
Sub-continent. Do not miss this opportunity to enjoy an artist of such
unique flair!
The net proceeds from the Charity Dinner-Music Concert will benefit the much
cherished and awaited construction of the replica of Kashmir's most revered
and sacred temple of
Kheer Bhavani
on Shiv Mandir premises in Atlanta. When
completed, Kheer Bhavani Atlanta, reportedly will be the first of its kind
outside of India.
Please support with your attendance and donations (please see the attachment
for your generous sponsorships and ticket prices)! Please make your
checks/donations payable to Shiv Mandir-Kheer Bhawani and
mail it to the
address of Subash Razdan, 4059 Keswick Dr., Atlanta, Ga-30339 or bring it
with you at the "Will Call" at the Concert. Shiv Mandir is a 501-c-3 tax
exempt non-profit organization.
Meanwhile your RSVP shall be appreciated.
Thanking you for your philanthropy and generosity.
