Cynthia Currence leads a team of highly experienced fund development professionals focused on creating powerful relationships with corporations and foundations to further World Vision’s mission of eliminating the causes of poverty and injustice. She has deep experience in fund development and strategic marketing for nonprofit organizations including market intelligence, brand strategy development, strategic corporate alliances, sponsorship, direct response (B2C), and special populations’ engagement. Specifically, she has a track record for building relationships between corporations and charities with measurable impact for all parties that go well beyond the "halo" effect for corporations and dollars for charities. She has spoken to international audiences in the US, Australia, China and the UK on this topic.

Cynthia worked previously for the American Cancer Society for 18 years as VP for international marketing and strategic corporate alliances among other roles. She also held senior roles within the United Way system and is a certified management consultant (CMC).
