Shanathanandaji is one of the senior Swamis of Chinmaya
Mission International. After completing his Vedantic studies at
Sandeepany Sadhanalaya in Mumbai in 1978 he was deputed by Pujya Swami
Chinmayananda as the Resident Acharya of the Chinmaya Misson in the
Far-East covering Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malayasia, and Indonesia. He had
the unique privilege of being with Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda as his
traveling secretary and imbibe Gurudev’s wisdom. Swamiji was initiated
in to Sannyasa by Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda in 1992 and shortly
thereafter was posted to Chinmaya Mission Tristate covering Pennsilvania,
New Jersey and New York areas, where he is serving as Acharya. Swamiji
is an erudite scholar and a gifted speaker. With his keen sense of humor
and practical experience he brings out the relevance of our ancient
scriptures in our modern life. Swamiji had graced Atlanta in year 2000
and discoursed on Siva Mahimna Stortram. We are fortunate to have
