Dear community members,

As you know 2 weeks ago the Kosi River changed its course after almost two centuries, sweeping over large swathes of the state of Bihar in India. Rescue and relief operation in flood-ravaged Bihar is by no means adequate given the scale of destructions and misery. Hundreds of thousands of people whose lives have been turned upside down by turbulent waters of the Kosi need our help.

Please don’t think that it’s too late to help. The real need comes once the rescue operation ends and water subsides. Prevention of diseases and massive rehabilitation is a huge task that requires resources of unthinkable scale.

Remember the unfortunate souls need your prayers and support. Please join us at the Shiv Mandir in Global Mall for a group prayer on 21st September (Sunday) 2008 at 12:30 in the afternoon. When we pray together and pitch in with whatever financial help we can we will definitely make a difference.
