Sri Raman, is a leading flutist and student of Sangeetha
Kalanidi, Padmashri Dr. N Ramani. He started learning at
age of 9 and has performed at many prestigious
organizations in USA, Canada, UK, Belgium, France,
Germany,Switzerland, Srilanka and Japan. His playing
style is considered extremely musical, soulful and
expressive. He has perfformed in many genres of music
and has released 35 CDs worldwide. He has also played
flute for many Indian movies.
Sri. VK Raman's brother Mysore V. Srikanth is a very
accomplished Violinist and has won "Best Violinist
Award" from Music Academy of Madras. He has accompanied
great stalwards like KJ Yesudas, M. Balamuralikrishna,
Sudha Raghunathan, TN Sheshagopalan etc., He is visiting
from India to accompany his brother for US tour and will
be playing for us that evening.
We will also have Santosh Chandru playing Mridangam.
Santosh is a Ph.D student at Georgia Institute of
Technology. Santosh started learning Mridangam at a very
young age and well versed in several instruments like
Ghatam, Tavil and Kanjira. He is very talented,
energetic and known to impress audience every single
