yogi and mystic Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who is also an author,
poet and compelling speaker with wit and piercing logic. He has
been a delegate to the United Nations Millennium Peace Summit
and is also a member of the World Council of Religious Leaders.
The basic purpose of Isha Foundation is to inspire, to stoke and
to nurture the innate search in every being to tap and realize
the ultimate potential within. The Foundation has over 150
centers worldwide and over a quarter million volunteers. The
Isha
Yoga Center is located on 150 acres of lush land at the
foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, India. It houses Spanda
Hall and gardens, and a 64,000 Sq.feet Meditation Hall. Also
located at the Center are the Isha Rejuvenation Center, Isha
Home School and a Yogic hospital. The residential facilities
house an international community of full- time volunteers,
guests and visitors. Through Action for Rural Rejuvenation, a
social outreach program, it offers free Mobile Health clinics,
libraries, computer centers, Yoga classes, gymnasiums,
playgrounds, and herbal gardens and also stages ‘Rural
Olympics’. Through The Vanashree-Eco-Center and Project Green
Hands, it conducts mass tree plantation programs and cleaning
campaigns and as well as promotes wildlife preservation.
One of the three dedicated and committed teachers of ‘Inner
Engineering ‘program, 26 year old Sheela Rajdev will be

Portland, Oregon. Her parents, also deeply committed to Isha Foundation, dad, an Engineer and mom, a physician are from
Detroit, MI and are currently residing in Tennessee, fully
engaged in the activity at the ashram. Soft spoken, composed and
articulate Sheela graduated with a degree in Biology and like
her parents immersed herself fully in Isha Yoga. She underwent
three years of intensive, full-time, residential training at the
Isha Yoga Center in India and is a qualified teacher who can
impart authentic training of the highest standard in its full
depth and dimension. In the U.S. there are 17 centers and over
3,000 volunteers. Sheela travels widely in the U.S. as well as
in India and neighboring countries, teaching Yoga, lecturing at
hospitals, Universities and schools, and supporting the social
initiatives undertaken by Isha Foundation. She waxes eloquently
on the benefits of yoga. “With yoga and meditation, so many
things have changed within me that I just want to share this
possibility with everyone.”
Speaking about the upcoming program, she quoted Sadhguru, “As we
have a physical science to create external well being, there is
a whole inner dimension of science to create inner well being. I
call it Inner Engineering” The approach is a modern antidote to
stress, and presents simple but powerful processes from yogic
science to purify the system and increase health and inner well
being. Program components include guided meditations and
transmission of the sacred Shambhavi Maha Mudra. When practiced
on a regular basis, these tools have the potential to enhance
one's experience of life on many levels.
