Winning Feathers Public Speaking Contest

Winning Feathers a Soft Skills Institute headquartered in Alpharetta organized a public speaking contest for kids on 19th May at the Forsyth Conference Center. The objective of the event was to provide a platform for kids to demonstrate their speaking abilities.
The kids selected from over 100 interesting topics depending on the age group from water conservation, plastic pollution, gun violence, education system, family values to imaginative topics like visit to outer space. More than 50 participants competed for the event with 32 finalists and 9 winners from age group 7 years to 17 years. The event was attended by over 200 attendees and was highly sophisticated and professionally managed with the intent to encourage kids.



Winning Feathers is the brain child of Mr. Apurva Ghelani who is the founder and supported by co-owned by Mr. Parth Patel CEO of Six Consulting with the purpose of training kids in developing soft skills. Winning Feathers offers summer camps and regular public speaking and debate classes with structured leveled curriculum by highly reputed coaches that have formal degree in communication from top universities like NYU and UC Berkley.

The event was attended by chief guest Rep. Angelika Kausche (Johns Creek), Ms. Angela Zera Allen (Advisory Board Member GSU & Angel Investor), Mr. Dennis Brown Forsyth County Commissioner, Ms. Shilpa Jadwani (Immigration Attorney) and keynote address was given by TEDx coach Ms. Pam Leinmiller. The event was sponsored by Mr. Pramod Sajja and Pratima Sajja owners of Paramount Software Solutions. Pam Leinmiller who coaches TEDx speakers stated that the caliber of speeches given by kids was very impressive and its inspiring to see the commitment of Winning Feathers to prepare the next generation.

Mr. Apurva Ghelani founder of Winning Feathers shared a very inspiring story about shared the key myths about public speaking backed with facts about how according to Warren Buffet public speaking can increase one’s personal network.
The contest was trophy winners are Jonathan Sneh, Caden Harris, Viraj Das, Yash Sajja, Rishabh Alagharu, Vihaan Das, Nikhita Chinmay, Saimounish Putumbaka & Rishi Gowda.
Each winner received winners trophy and each participant received the participant trophy. The event had a very charged environment which included a Chai and Chat debate on U.S. Immigration conducted by Dr. Nazeera Dawood.
